Dilobbied By TPN Chairman Ganjar Arsjad Rasjid, Yenny Wahid Will Pray Istikhoroh Determine Support For Presidential Candidates

JAKARTA - The daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) Zannuba Ariffah Chafsoh or Yenny Wahid admitted that she was close to the head of the National Winning Team (TPN) for presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, Arsjad Rasjid.

"I have known Mas Arsjad closely for a long time, he is a good person, competent and trustworthy," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 9.

Arsjad Rasjid reportedly carried out a political lobby for Yenny Wahid, when they met at the Maulid activities of the Prophet Muhammad SAW at the Krapyak Islamic boarding school, Bantul, DIY on Sunday (8/10).

In the event which was attended by former first lady Sinta Nuriyah, Arsjad Rasjid was seen sitting close to Yenny Wahid. The two of them seem familiar and seem to have had occasionally serious discussions.

Yenny said he appreciated Arsjad Rasjid's request to be included in the Ganjar TPN and would consider it carefully.

"I have also answered directly that I will do the isishoroh prayer first and consult with the kiai. God willing, in the next weeks, our position can be announced," he said.

Meanwhile, Arsjad Rasjid, who was confirmed, said he hoped that Wahid Forapason's Executive Director would be included in Ganjar Pranowo's National Winning Team (TPN).

"Of course I really hope that Mbak Yenny Wahid can accompany me in the team to win Mas Ganjar Pranowo," said Arsjad Rasjid.
