Deputy Chief Of Police Inaugurates 7 Police Aid Drilling Wells In South Kalimantan

MARTAPURA - Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, inaugurated seven drilling wells assisted by the National Police in South Kalimantan (Kalsel) to help residents meet their clean water needs in the dry season at this time.

"This bore well is part of the National Police's efforts to increase public access to clean water in areas in need," said the Deputy Chief of Police when inaugurating the drill well in Balau Village, Karang Intan District, Banjar Regency, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 3.

Apart from Banjar Regency, the wells made by the South Kalimantan Police and the ranks of the Polres are also scattered in Banjarbaru City, Tanah Laut Regency, Barito Kuala Regency, Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency and Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency.

Balau Village is a mountainous area and there is no clean water network from the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM), so during the dry season it is very difficult for residents to get clean water.

It is hoped that 200 families in Balau Village will get better access to clean water sources where the residents have been waiting for drilling wells for a long time.

The Deputy Chief of Police appreciated the hard work of the officers involved in the construction of the bore well and water pump.

This shows the Police's commitment to ensure better access to clean water for all citizens.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, TNI-Polri and the community in advancing common welfare.

The Deputy Chief of Police also had the opportunity to hand over 500 food packages to local residents.

South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Pol Andi Rian Djajadi in his report said that so far 18 points of drilling well locations have been built to help the residents' clean water needs during the long dry season.

"The construction of bore wells is based on reports from Bhabinkamtibmas who are well aware of the conditions in their fostered areas, so that they are really right on target," he said.
