Kasatgas: 2 KKB Commander Identified Dead In Serambakon Mountains Bintang

Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force, Kombes Faizal Rahmadhani, stated that two KKB commanders from the XXXV Kodap Bintang Timur were identified as dead during a shootout with security forces in Serambakon, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua Mountains.

"It is true that of the five KKB people who died during a shootout in Serambakon, Saturday (30/9) were identified, two of whom have positions, namely Otobius Bidana Mimin as commander of the extortion battalion and Neas Ati Mimin as deputy head of intelligence," Faizal said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 3.

Meanwhile, the three bodies identified as Alek Lepki, Tarkus Akmer and Okto Kasipka are members of the KKB Kodap XXXV Bintang Timur.

The body has been identified at the Oksibil Hospital after previously being evacuated from the village of Modusit, Serambakon District.

During a shootout between the joint TNI-Polri team and the KKB, apart from killing five KKB members, three firearms were also arrested, two of which were long-barreled weapons.

From the results of the examination, it was revealed that two of the three firearms that were secured from the KKB were TNI organic, namely the SS2 V3_K1 long-barreled rifle with serial number 93,004236 and the Brouning FN pistol with serial number OT6117.

The weapon belonged to the organic personnel of the Pamtas 725/Varagi Task Force who had an accident when the M1-17V5 HA-5138 helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Army had an accident.
