JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, emphasized his institution's commitment to encouraging this nation to re-implement the state system according to the formulation of the nation's founders based on Pancasila.

LaNyalla in his remarks at the commemoration of the 19th Anniversary of the DPD RI at the Nusantara IV Building, Senayan Parliament Complex, Sunday (1/10/2023), said the move was taken as part of an effort to strengthen national unity and integrity.

"The DPD RI offers the idea of strengthening the Indonesian state system for the benefit of the nation and state in facing the challenges of a more complex world future," said LaNyalla.

The senator from East Java said, on his journey until 2023, the DPD RI has always tried its best to contribute to the interests of the nation and state through its main task, namely fighting for regional interests at the central level.

"Despite the limited authority, the DPD RI continues to seek breakthroughs in an effort to maximize its role as a regional representative," said LaNyalla.

LaNyalla said that the DPD RI also always strives to play an institution that strengthens national unity and integrity. Because the DPD RI is actually the representative of every province that is not based on political groups or political parties.

Therefore, the DPD RI continues to move to offer a big idea in the form of state initiatives in order to build the nation's collective awareness to re-implement the Pancasila state system according to the formulation of the nation's founders, which was then perfected and strengthened.

"This is done so that the sovereignty of the people who are right and the ideals and goals of the birth of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia can be realized quickly and in a real way for the sake of a sovereign, just and prosperous Indonesia," said LaNyalla.

LaNyalla hopes that the ideals that are being initiated for the sake of improving the nation and state can find momentum at the age of 19 of the DPD RI.

"Thus, in its two decades of journey, the DPD RI is able to produce a legacy that is beneficial to this nation and state, especially for future generations," said LaNyalla.

As is known, the DPD RI is encouraging the national consensus so that this nation returns to the state system according to the formulation of the nation's founders. There are five state proposals offered by the DPD RI. Among them are adopting the demands of reform, limiting the term of office of the president, removing the KKN as well as law enforcement and human rights, as well as improving and strengthening the state system by continuing to use the Pancasila Democracy principle.

Opening the opportunity for members of the DPR comes from election participants of individual or non-partisan elements. So that members of the DPR are not only filled with election participants from elements of political party members only. This is as part of ensuring that the process of forming the law carried out by the DPR with the President, is not dominated by the representation of political parties alone. But it is also completely discussed by representatives of the population of the province-based regions. So that members of the DPD RI, who are also elected through Legislative Election, are within one room in the DPR RI, as part of the legislators. 3). Ensuring that the Envoy of Regionals and Group Envoys is filled through the messenger mechanism from below. Not appointed by the president, or elected DPRD as happened in the New Order Era. With the composition of the Regional Envoy based history of the old Countries and the old nations in the archipelago, namely the king and Sultan of the Archipelago, as well as the terms and indigenous populations of the Archipelago. And the Envoy of Groups sourced from the Social Organization of the Community and the Professional Organization which has a history and weights of contributions to the promotion of Ideology, Economy, Social, Culture, Security and Religion for Indonesia. 4). Gives the authority to give opinions to the Regional Envoy and Group Envoy on the Draft Laws formed by the DPR and the President, resulting in a fully public engagement mechanism in the discussion of the Law. 5). Properizing the duties, roles and functions of State Institutions that have been established or already existed in the era of Reform, such as the Constitutional Court and the Judicial Commission with the benchmark measure for strengthening of the Pancasila Democracy system.
