Cilacap Junior High School Bullying Case, Ciduk Police 5 Students

CILACAP - Police arrested 5 people in cases of bullying or bullying by junior high school students in Cimanggu District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java. This case went viral on social media.

Kapolresta Cilacap Kombes Pol Fannky Ani Sugiharto, stated that the case of bullying of junior high school children in Cilacap had been handled by the police.

"It happened last Tuesday. We immediately investigated and secured 5 people, 3 people were examined as witnesses, and 2 people were perpetrators," said Kombes Pol Fannky Ani Sugiharto, Friday, September 29.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, appealed to the public if they saw the potential for vulnerabilities in the surrounding kamtibmas to immediately report to the nearest Polri officer.

"So that it can be followed up as early as possible, in order to prevent crime," said Stefanus.

"Please if there are indications of disturbances in security and social order or criminal acts around them, for example persecution or beatings to immediately report to the nearest police station. People please don't be easily provoked by emotions and don't be vigilant because new problems will arise," he said.

In the case of bullying of junior high school students in Cilacap, the National Police has taken steps related to the incident. The police have handled the case in accordance with applicable legal regulations.

"Because both the perpetrators and the victims are still children so that they get special attention, including in handling them, they will involve relevant stakeholders," added the head of public relations.

The head of public relations regretted the incident and hoped that parents could monitor the behavior and association of their children, so they did not commit unlawful acts.

"We are also committed to preventing and eradicating child bullying so that it does not happen again. We hope that similar incidents will not be repeated in the Central Java region. Let's start together from the level of family, community and school to have more sense of crisis or sensitivity to the behavior of children around us," he said.
