Lantamal XIII Tarakan Arrests 15.3 Kg Of Shabu Smuggler From Malaysia

TANJUNG SELOR - XIII Navy Main Base (Lantamal) through the ranks of Koarmada II Team SFQR Lantamal XIII and the Intel Lantamal XIII team managed to arrest the perpetrators of smuggling 15.3 kilograms of methamphetamine (Kg).

A total of seven people were arrested from the two ships under investigation by MG, PA, SU and SA, residents of West Sulawesi.

Commander of Lantamal XIII First Admiral TNI Deni Herman revealed that the 15 packs of methamphetamine were secured at the sea lane in the waters around Keciak Island, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan Province (Kaltara), Monday, September 25.

This disclosure was the result of the collaboration between Lantamal XIII and BNNP Kaltara and Customs and Excise in Tarakan City.

"This case was revealed from the results of intelligence information that a ship to board of narcotics type methamphetamine from Tawau, Malaysia will be carried out in the waters around Keiak Island," he said.

Then, on Wednesday (20/9) at 18.30 WITA, the XIII Lantamal SFQR Team, the XIII Lantamal Intel Team, Tarakan BNN and Tarakan Customs carried out consolidation of movement divided into 2 (two) marine teams, which then took place at 19.00 to 06.30 WITA.

"During reconnaissance of the target and after handing over goods from speedboats to wooden ships, the joint team managed to secure a wooden ship containing 4 people and 15 packages of evidence weighing 15.3 kg of methamphetamine," explained Danlantamal.

In addition, the joint team also pursued and secured a speedboat with 3 crew members.

"At 09.30 WITA the joint team together with the perpetrators, speedboats, wooden ships and evidence arrived at the Port of Malundung, Tarakan City, then the perpetrators and evidence were taken to the BNNP Kaltara Office for further investigation, as well as further investigation, while for speedboats and wooden ships were secured at the Sattrol Lantamal XIII Pier," he said.
