The Magelang City Police, Central Java, managed to arrest NA (25) after committing theft at the Magelang City Development Kindergarten seven times.

Magelang City Police Chief AKBP Yolanda Evalyn Sebayang explained that the theft occurred in the teacher room of the Magelang State Kindergarten, Kramat Selatan Village, North Magelang District, and involved a suspect with the initials NA.

The modus operandi used by the suspect is to climb and pick up goods at night.

The suspect took a laptop, one MP3 player, and cash with a total loss of Rp. 17,651,000.

"The perpetrators of this theft have disturbed local residents, especially teachers at the Magelang Community Kindergarten. We will immediately conduct an intensive investigation to reveal the perpetrators," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, September 23.

After investigating and developing information, the police arrested the suspect NA. The suspect admitted that he had committed a similar crime seven times in the same location before.

The suspect NA will be brought to justice in accordance with Article 363 of the Criminal Code (KUHP), which regulates the crime of theft with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
