Central Java Police Emphasize Law Enforcement And Neutrality If Election Crimes

Law enforcement in election crimes must be carried out by prioritizing the principle of neutrality and accommodating all social aspects in the community. This is one of the emphasis of the Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi when opening the Integrated Law Enforcement Training (Gakkumdu) Operation Mantab Brata 2023-2024 at the Borobudur Building, Central Java Police Headquarters on Tuesday morning, September 19.

The Gakkumdu Training Operations Stable Brata 2023-2024 was held to hone the capabilities of personnel in law enforcement efforts and equalize perceptions and attitudes between law enforcement officers who are members of the Gakkumdu center.

The activity was attended by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit and representatives of investigators from all police officers from the Central Java Police. The material in the training was delivered by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police, the Central Java High Prosecutor's Office, the Central Java Bawaslu and the Central Java Propinsi KPU.

"This training is very important to hone the ability of investigators to handle criminal acts related to elections, as well as to equalize attitudes and perceptions between law enforcement officers who are members of the Gakkumdu center to find problem solving in the context of integrated law enforcement," said Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, in a written statement, Tuesday, September 19.

The Regional Police Chief said that in the task of securing elections, the National Police could not stand alone, because each election stage had the potential for vulnerabilities to occur in violations and criminal acts that required law enforcement efforts.

"In addition to security in every election stage, we also enforce the law against violations and criminal acts related to elections," he said.

The handling, continued the Kapolda, must be carried out comprehensively and accommodate all aspects including the social aspect in the community, as well as prioritizing the principle of neutrality.

"The handling must also be fast and precise and prioritize the principle of neutrality. Even if it's just a small case, don't drag on in handling it," said the Kapolda.

Including the handling of potential violations and criminal acts that occur in cyberspace, through the Virtual Police, the Kapolda emphasized taking action against hoax news, hate speech, illegal campaigns that are spread through social media.
