PT Transjakarta is speeding up the construction of four Transjakarta bus stops in corridor 14 which serves the Senen-Jakarta International Stadiun (JIS) Station route.

The four stops are the Tanah Tinggi Bus Stop, the Benjamin Sueb Bus Stop, the West Sunter A Lake Bus Stop, and the West Sunter B Lake Bus Stop.

President Director of PT Transjakarta Welfizon Yuza said that the acceleration of the construction of four stops to JIS was carried out in order to be able to serve passengers during the U-17 World Cup in the next two months.

This was conveyed by Welfizon in Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD which discussed the Raperda on Amendments to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Budget for Fiscal Year 2023.

"There are 4 stops that we will pursue that can be operated at the end of October, from Monday to the west sunter to pursue the implementation of the U-17," said Welfizon at Grand Cempaka Resort & Convention, Thursday, September 14.

Welfizon hopes that these four stops, if they are operational, will make it easier for U-17 World Cup spectators to visit JIS using public transportation.

"Later we will also help with mobility to JIS. We are targeting that by the end of October it will be completed, so that when it is implemented in November, the route can be passed," he explained.

The U-17 World Cup itself is scheduled to take place in four stadiums in Indonesia, namely the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Si Jalak Harupat Stadium Bandung, Manahan Stadium Solo, and Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium Surabaya from November 10 to December 2, 2023.

The All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) proposes that the Indonesian national team compete in Jakarta. In addition, the opening was also held in Jakarta, while the semifinal and final matches were held in Solo.
