JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PSI Regional Leadership Council (DPW) Elva Farhi Qolbina said that his party would accelerate the interim replacement (PAW) process for two former cadres at the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

They are Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo and Idris Ahmad who are still members of the PSI faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. PSI wants to immediately replace the two with other cadres because they have now officially become PAN cadres.

"The declaration of Idris and Anggara to PAN will speed up the PAW process in the DPRD, in accordance with the provisions in the DPRD's Law and Order," Elva said in a short message, Wednesday, September 13.

Elva said PSI had received Anggara and Idris' resignation letter as of August 25, 2023. After receiving the letter, PSI implemented a plenary session in the party court as an organizational mechanism.

Now the internal party is accelerating the administrative process for the PAW submission to the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Elva hopes that the DPRD will also follow up on PAW to inaugurate new cadres to replace Anggara and Idris as members of the PSI faction as soon as possible.

"With this, the administration is complete, there is already a public statement, we are sure that the leaders and administrators of the DPRD will process PAW smoothly in accordance with the period stipulated in the Order," said Elva.

"We will give the PAW letter this week, in mid-September, it has been completed internally. We hope that the leadership of the DKI DPRD will also process it smoothly and orderly when we give PAW files for weeks," he continued.

On Tuesday, September 12, three former PSI cadres officially joined as PAN cadres. The three are Anggara and Idris who are members of the DKI DPRD, and Jovin Kurniawan.

Anggara, Idris, and Jovin will again run as legislative candidates for the DKI DPRD from PAN representing electoral districts 1, 7, and 10 for the 2024 General Election.
