PDIP Opens The Possibility Of Surprise Of Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidates Beyond The Name Circulating So Far

SERANG - PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said that it is possible that the presidential candidate who will accompany Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election is not the person who has been on the stock exchange so far. Hasto views that it is not impossible for the reading of Ganjar's vice president to be chosen as a new figure besides the five figures who are predicted to be Ganjar's companion if certain political dynamics occur. "Yes, outside the names of surveys that have been circulating, a new figure can also appear, even though the names are summarized by five. It is possible that there are national figures who do not participate in the contestation, but continue to work consistently with dedication to the nation and state," said Hasto at the Banten PDIP DPD Office, Sunday, September 10. This matter, according to Hasto, is not new. Hasto gave an example of what happened in the 2019 presidential election which suddenly brought up the name KH Ma'ruf Amin as Joko Widodo's vice presidential candidate. "Empirically 2019, outside of electoral issues, KH Ma'ruf Amin suddenly appeared. As a possibility, it could happen," said Hasto. Hasto also has not disclosed his certainty about who the vice presidential candidate is, Ganjar. He emphasized that the determination of Ganjar's vice president is under the authority of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. "So, figures who do not have personal ambitions for their group or for their business interests but have dedication to the nation and this country are also wanted by Mrs. Megawati soekarnoputri. So, this can be an element of supply," he said. What is clear is that the most important criteria for Ganjar's vice presidential candidate, according to PDIP, are being able to bring solidarity to the same vision and mission and are committed to accelerating the progress of Indonesia Raya.
