Alissa Qotrunnada Munawaroh Wahid is an activist born to Abdurrahman Wahid or better known as Gus Dur who is the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia and Sinta Nuriyah who is a female figure from Nahdlatul Ulama. Alissa Qotrunnada alias Alissa Wahid was born in Jombang, East Java on June 25, 1973.

In general, she is known as a women activist who is engaged in social issues, especially related to multiculturalism, democracy, human rights (HAM), and moderate Muslim movements in the country.

Alissa is also an important shop on the Gusdurian Network or also known as the Indonesian Gusdurian Network National (GNI), a network that contains an admirer of Gus Dur from various aspects, both thoughts, exemplary character and values, to helping fight for what Gus Dur fought for during his tenure as president of the Republic of Indonesia.

Alissa Qotrunnada herself is an alumni of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) with a focus on family psychology, children and women of the Faculty of Psychology.

On the alumni.ugm.ac.id website, Alissa was a social project manager named the Indonesia Planned Parenthood Association which began in 1991-1996. The project is engaged in the development of young people and reproductive health targeting students at various high schools in Yogyakarta.

Then in 1997-2001, Alissa was also active in various discussions concerning the issue of gender equality. He is also the Manjer of Education Programs at the Women and Children Study and Development Institute.

Alissa also briefly dedicated herself to education by establishing an early childhood educational institution called Fastrack Funschool in Yogyakarta. Then in 2014 she became a representative of the United Nations (UN), the Faith-Based Organization's Global Forum on Faith & Reproductive Health in New York.

In addition, he was also a facilitator at the International Training on Strategic Partnership between Government and Religious Moslem Leaders on Populations & Family Planning Issue in 2015.

Alissa also helped voice the struggle of mothers in Rembang who opposed the construction of the giant cement factory PT Semen Indonesia in Central Java. With the network he had, Alissa at that time asked to stop the expansion of cement factories in the area through social media and the NU and Gusdurian networks she had.

In 2019 Alissa Wahid was appointed by the Minister of National Development Planning to become the Ambassador Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Indonesia. Then in 2021 he was appointed as the new Independent Commissioner of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. which was decided through the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on 27 May 2021.

At Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Alissa Wahid became one of the big administrators of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) for the period 2022-2027. The appointment had attracted attention because she became a woman who was a PBNU administrator.
