Female Journalists Become Hit-and-Run Victims Around Polda Metro Jaya, Perpetrators Please Arrest

JAKARTA - Female journalist Gabriella Thesa Widiari became a victim of a white car hit and run while carrying out coverage duties, Wednesday, September 6. The victim's right hand suffered abrasions and broken bones. "My cellphone was totally damaged. I hope those who crash can be responsible," said Gie, Gabriella's nickname when contacted, quoted from era.id. The location of the case collision was around the Polda Metro Jaya. Gie explained that the incident began when he was about to go to cover the Jalan Kertanegara IV area, Jakarta by riding an online motorcycle taxi (ojol). After passing through the Semanggi Tunnel, to be precise on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman next to Polda Metro Jaya, the ojol he was traveling in was grazed by a car. "The car hit me. My brother and I fell. After crashing, the car immediately stepped on the gas and ran away," said Gie. Gie did not know the type of car that hit him, including the vehicle registration number (NRKB). The incident was very fast. Luckily, the local driver and the police were on guard to help him. Ojol, who was ordered by Gie, told officers that this incident was a hit and run.

After that Gie was taken to the hospital for treatment. This journalist admitted that he had not reported this incident to the police. He also hoped that the perpetrator who hit him would be arrested immediately.
