SBY Says There Is A Minister Invites For The Form Of A New Coalition, Awiek PPP: Mention His Name

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PPP DPP Ahmad Baidowi or Awiek responded to a statement by the Chairman of the Democratic Party High Council, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) who said that there was a minister of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet inviting him to form a new coalition of joint Democrats, PKS and PPP. Awiek invited SBY to reveal the name of President Joko Widodo's active minister.

Moreover, SBY also mentioned the name Pak Lurah, which Jokowi had told him.

"Please just mention Mr. SBY, what is his name. Who is the village head, just say it," Awiek told reporters, Saturday, September 2. "President Jokowi has confirmed that he is not the village head," he added

Moreover, continued Awiek, there is nothing wrong with lobbying to build a new coalition axis. According to him, this is normal in the political world as long as the presidential and vice presidential pairs have not registered with the Indonesian KPU.

"If there are lobbying to build a new axis, it's normal, it's called a political process. What can't be done if you have registered at the KPU. But if you haven't registered at the KPU, anything can happen," said Awiek.

The secretary of the PPP faction of the DPR RI then commented on NasDem's attitude of offering cooperation with PKB to pair Anies Baswedan with Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.

Awiek assessed that this was the right of NasDem and PKB as political parties.

"What NasDem and PKB did to build a new axis is their political right, as political parties they have sovereign rights," said Awiek. Previously, the chairman of the Democratic Party High Council, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) revealed that there was an invitation to him to form a new axis.

The invitation was conveyed by one of the ministers in the Jokowi administration. This was said by SBY when giving a briefing before the Democratic Party's High Council meeting in response to the unilateral agreement between the Nasdem Party and the National Awakening Party (PKB).

"The Democratic Coalition, PKS, and PPP concerned said that this initiative was conveyed to the Lurah. The minister's words, not my words, the words concerned," said SBY in his remarks at his residence, Puri Cikeas, Bogor Regency, Friday, September 1.

SBY suspects that there is a mastermind or mastermind from an invitation to form a new axis between his party, PKS, and PPP. SBY said the invitation was not far-fetched information.
