Reasons For PKB's Declaration Of Anies-Cak Imin In Surabaya, Reminding History Of The Past

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) held a declaration of Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) as a presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate (Cawapres) in the 2024 presidential election at the Majapahit Hotel, Surabaya, Saturday, September 2.

Deputy Secretary General of the PKB DPP Syaiful Huda revealed the reason why the declaration was made in Surabaya.

He said, specifically the Majapahit Hotel was chosen because it remembered the history of the past. According to Huda, the hotel, formerly known as the Yamato hotel, was an early marker of Anies-Cak Imin's struggle to win the 2024 presidential election.

The choice of the Majapahit Hotel or in the past known as the Yamato Hotel has its own meaning. That's where the Suroboyo brothers showed heroic action by tearing the Dutch flag so that the Red and White could fly in the archipelago," Huda told reporters, Saturday, September 2.

Huda said Anies-Cak Imin's move to run as a pair of presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the 2024 General Election was intended as an effort to offer improvements for better Indonesia. He claims, Anies and Cak Imin, have a clear program offer to improve and accelerate efforts to realize a more Just, Prosperous, and Prosperous Indonesia. As we all know that these two figures in the past year have conveyed their ideas and ideas for Indonesia better. These ideas and ideas will be offered as a work promise for Indonesia," he said.

Huda realizes that efforts to offer work promises for Indonesia are certainly not easy. Huda added that the Anies-Cak Imin pair announcement event will be held simply.

Later, he said, there would be a speech from the General Chairperson of NasDem Surya Paloh, PKB General Chair Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, and it would be closed with Anies Baswedan's remarks as a presidential candidate.

In addition, there will also be prayers from the elderly in East Java. "The event will be held simply but solemnly to ensure that the Anies-Muhaimin pair's steps are smooth until they win the 2024 presidential election," he concluded.
