The DPD of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Democratic Party has instructed its cadres to field all of Anies-AHY's billboards due to the news of Anies Baswedan's decision to elect Muhaimin Iskandar as a candidate for vice president in the 2024 presidential election. "In accordance with the DPP instructions of the Democratic Party since last Thursday night, we immediately lowered all the attributes depicting Anies-AHY throughout the NTB region," said Secretary of the DPD of the NTB Democratic Party Andi Mardan when contacted from Mataram, Antara, Friday, September 1. The decision to reduce all billboards or attributes depicting Anies-AHY was because the coalition that was built with the Democratic Party, NasDem, and PKS had left the actual standard. Where previously asked the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudoyono (AHY) as the vice presidential candidate to accompany Anies Bawswedan in the 2024 presidential election. "Regarding the Anies-Muhaimin Iskandar package, the Democratic Party has never been invited to communicate as coalition partners. Even though from the previous time they had written to ask AHY as a vice presidential candidate, but suddenly came with a new coalition partner," he said. However, Andi Mardan emphasized that he refused if there was an assumption that the Democratic Party's decision to reduce all of Anies-AHY's attributes because the Berlambang Mercy Party was disappointed and carried away by feelings (baper) in politics. "There is no term for us to be political baper. But as coalition partners, we should be invited to talk and discuss not by giving unilateral decisions. Because we understand the position even though from the start we also submitted the decision to Vice Presidential Candidate to Anies," he said. Earlier on Tuesday (29/8) night at NasDem Tower unilaterally, the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, suddenly appointed PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar as Anies vice presidential candidate, without the knowledge of the Democratic Party and PKS. That night, Anies' presidential candidate will also be called by Surya Paloh to accept the decision. A day later, August 30, 2023, Anies' presidential candidate in this very important matter did not convey directly to the highest leadership of PKS and the Democratic Party.

So far, Anies has not commented on the political cooperation between NasDem and PKB, as well as the announcement of Muhaimin Iskandar as a future vice presidential candidate who accompanies the 2024 presidential election. PKB has not announced the cooperation or the appointment of their general chairman as Anies' future vice presidential candidate. This is because PKB is currently a member of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition that supports Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate.
