FLOTIM - Adrianus Ama Lein (22) a fisherman disappeared after the canoe he was traveling in overturned while looking for fish in the waters of PPI Larantuka Port, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, was found dead. "The victim was found dead near the Port of Tobilota, East Flores Regency on Thursday at 05.00 WITA," said Head of the Marine and Fisheries Service Branch of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Lembata Regency, East Flores, Sikka, Andi Amuntoda, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 31. The resident of Lobao, Larantuka District, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, disappeared after a high wave hit the canoe the victim was traveling on with three of his friends on Sunday, August 27. Three of the victim's friends managed to save themselves while the victim was missing in the incident. According to Andi, the victim was first found by a number of fishermen floating on the surface of the sea water. "When found the victim was dead," said Andi. Meanwhile, the joint SAR team, which had searched the fifth day, received information from local fishermen at 05.30 WITA that they found a body floating in the waters of Tobilota Village, East Flores Regency. The SAR team immediately went to the location to check with the results of the victim found by the fisherman being Adrianus Ama Lein. "The victim found was Adrianus Ama Lein who was missing in the waters of PPI Port while looking for fish," said Head of Basarnas Maumere Supriyanto Ridwan. The victim was found at coordinates 08°21'.13"S - 123° 0'19.40"E or about 1.33 Nautical Mile from the scene of the incident the victim was reported missing.

"After the victim was found, the joint SAR team immediately evacuated to Dr. Hendrikus Fernandez Larantuka Hospital so that with the discovery of the victim, the SAR operation was closed," said Supriyanto Ridwan.
