JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party positively welcomed the intimate moment of the presidential candidate (candidate) for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Prabowo Subianto by reading PDI-P President Ganjar Pranowo who greeted his command when invited by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to Grogolan Market in Pekalongan, Central Java. Gerindra did not deny that there was an opportunity for the two presidential candidates to join the 2024 presidential election. Moreover, the name of the coalition supporting Prabowo currently resembles Ganjar's tagline, namely the Fast Movement of Advanced Indonesia. "It is very possible for us to join the context of equality of idealism, equality of struggle ideals, but maybe technically, we will temporarily separate," said Gerindra Party Deputy Chair Habiburokhman, at the DPR Building, Wednesday, August 30. "Because there are technical matters related to electoral matters that we are not necessarily able to accommodate each other, both are nominated by the party, both need a coattail effect, for example, both of them carry out the agreement that has been made. Technically, we didn't find anything, meaning that this difference should not divide us," he continued. Habiburokhman also did not deny that later there would be an assessment of KIM's cooperation with PDIP to match Ganjar and Prabowo. "The opportunity, I see, is that the opportunity is more for us to unite in the context of equality of idealism, something like that," he added. Regarding command greetings, Habiburokhman considered it not special. According to him, command greetings which are a tradition in the TNI have developed into a civil tradition as a form of mutual support and mutual trust in the same frequency of thought. "The TNI is like that, with subordinates showing command cohesiveness, as well as us in the civilian world, if for example, activists from one organization meet who are closer to the form of greeting command. It's very good that the two leaders of different coalition candidates show such an attitude," he explained.
