Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Fadli Zon, is optimistic that West Nusa Tenggara Province will still be the favorite of Prabowo Subianto's victory in the 2024 Presidential Election. "We hope that the people of NTB who have been supporting Pak Prabowo will return to support in the 2024 presidential election," said Fadli Zon on the sidelines of a working visit from Commission I of the DPR RI to the RRI Mataram LPP Office, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Antara, Thursday, August 24. He said that the dedication of commitment and attitude had been shown by the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, by bringing unity, peace and other programs that had been decomposed if they received support and mandate from the people. "Hopefully the people of NTB will support it again and we hope for it," he said. In the previous two presidential elections in NTB, namely 2014 and 2019, Prabowo Subianto's name was always superior to the presidential candidate at that time Joko Widodo. In 2014, Prabowo, who was paired with Hatta Rajasa, received 72.45 percent of the vote, beating Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla who collected 27.55 percent of the votes.

Prabowo's victory in NTB was repeated in the 2019 presidential election. At that time, he was paired with Sandiaga Uno to win 67.89 percent of the votes, while Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin collected 32.11 percent of the votes.
