JAKARTA - A paint truck with license plate number F 9818 FG had a single accident on Jalan I Gusti, to be precise in front of the Busway Klender Bus Stop, Klender Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Tuesday night, August 22.

As a result of the accident, tens of gallons of paint spilled and scattered covering the asphalt of the road. For further processing, residents reported the incident to the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. office for the evacuation of paint cleaning.

Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman confirmed that there was a paint spill scattered on the asphalt of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Klender. After receiving the report, his party immediately sent troops to the scene.

"The object that was evacuated was a paint-carrying car. We cleaned the paint that was scattered on the 300-meter-long asphalt," he said when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, August 22, evening.

Luckily, there were no fatalities as a result of the accident. However, the officers suspected that the cause of the paint load was spilled because the charge binder was released so that a number of the paints spilled onto the road.

"Security tracks are used to tie cans of broken paint, and paint falls on the road. For evacuation, we have deployed 7 personnel and 2 fire engines to clean the asphalt from the paint spill," he said.

As a result of this single accident, traffic access on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai has stalled and has a lot of vehicle buildup.

"Until now it is still being handled. The traffic flow has also stalled and is assisted by decomposition from the ranks of the Transportation Agency and PPSU," he said.

Confirmed separately, the Head of the East Jakarta Regional Traffic Unit, AKBP Edy Surasa, said that his party had not received any reports regarding the accident of the paint truck.

"Let me check first," he briefly told VOI.
