Chairman of the Democratic Election Winning Body (Bappilu) Andi Arief, asked the NasDem Party to be wise regarding the momentum of the declaration of the candidate for vice president (cawapres) accompanying Anies Baswedan.

Andi also asked Team Eight within the Coalition for Amendments and Unity (KPP) to conduct an evaluation regarding the solicity of the name of the vice president.

"Some of NasDem's friends hope to be wiser about this. Team 8 will immediately evaluate its achievements," Andi Arief told reporters, Monday, August 21.

Andi Arief assessed that the declaration of the name of Bacawapres Anies was one of the strategies to increase Anies' electability. Therefore, he hopes that Anies will immediately declare his partner to be registered with the Indonesian KPU.

"I hope Anies Baswedan will immediately declare his vice presidential candidate as a tactic to increase his electability," said Andi Arief.

Previously, the Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Ali, asked the Democratic Party to be patient because the KPP would not declare the future vice presidential candidate accompanying Anies Baswedan in the near future.

"I said there will be no declaration in the near future," said Ahmad Ali in Cipinang, East Jakarta, Saturday, August 19.

"I always say, asking the coalition friends'mbok ya be patient'," he continued.

According to Ali, there is no urgent need to immediately declare the reading of Anies' vice president. Ali reminded politics about how to take advantage of momentum, not just intelligence.

"There is nothing urgent to rush to announce the vice president, because for NasDem it is not a tactical move," said Ali.

"Politics is not a matter of intelligence, but a matter of how we then take advantage of momentum time," he added.
