The Head of Menteng Sub-district, Suprayogi, emphasized that the brawl that occurred in the Menteng and Senen border areas on Jalan Kalipasir, Central Jakarta, ended peacefully. The essence of the problem that caused the two parties to fight has been resolved by presenting related parties.

"Mediation, ending in peace. After we mediate between all ranks at the sub-district level, the head of the rw, community leaders and residents of both parties at the brawl location on Saturday night, August 12. The further mediation process was carried out at the Central Jakarta Police, and thank God, we met a peaceful point," said Suprayogi when confirmed, Monday, August 14.

Meanwhile, two residents of Kalipasir, Kebon Sirih Village who had been secured to the Central Jakarta Police Headquarters have been sent home. According to Suprayogi, they were not detained but only asked for information to achieve peace.

"Those who were questioned have returned home," he said.

Meanwhile, to anticipate other brawls, Menteng and Senen sub-districts established 2 security posts in each region. Later, the joint security posts will be guarded by a number of parties.

"Pos (security) has been established in 2 left and right locations. The command posts have been guarded by Satpol pp, elements of three pillars, RT and RW administrators. Meanwhile, for night guarding, 15 joint personnel from the three pillars were involved," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a brawl between residents of Menteng District and Senen District was triggered by the attack by a group of Kalipasir residents, Menteng against a passing motorcyclist.

At that time, the victim of a motorcycle rider named Muhamad Najril (17), a resident of RT 09/06, Kwitang Village, Senen District, Central Jakarta was crossing the Jalan Kalipasir bridge.

"I was taking a motorbike to Jalan Baru to buy ice. When I was on the corner, a teenager from Kalipasir suddenly attacked me using a really big sickle and brought a big block. My motorbike was also hit with a beam until the glass broke," said Najril, Monday, August 14.

When Najril's motorbike was attacked, he decided to run away to the front of the Kwitang Village office. In front of the Kwitang Village Office, there happened to be a teenager playing football.

"Kalipasir immediately attacked the residents of Kwitang. There was also a damaged post," he said.
