Labor Demo Again, 6,612 Joint Personnel Alert Around Monas Jakarta

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya deployed as many as 6,612 joint personnel to secure labor demonstrations at the Monas Horse Statue roundabout, and several other locations in the capital, Thursday 10 August. Trunoyudo explained that as many as 6,612 joint personnel consisted of elements of the Police, TNI, and the local government (Pemda). Then Trunoyudo also appealed to the entire community to temporarily postpone their activities around Jalan Gatot Subroto, especially in front of the DPR-MPR building and also the area around Monas. "Of course we urge our brothers and sisters, to really submit opinions in public, this is in front of the corridor of the prevailing, orderly laws and regulations, so that what the goal can be achieved safely, "said Trunoyudo. As Mass information from the Action Alliance of One Million Labor Workers (AASB) and the People's Joint Labor Movement (Gebrak) will hold a demonstration in front of the Indonesian Presidential Palace and the Jakarta Constitutional Court Building today. This demonstration, according to the action coordinator, will be attended by tens of thousands of mass workers who come from various regions ranging from Jakarta, West Java and Banten. The plan is that the action will start at 11.00 WIB with a gathering point at the International Labor Organization (ILO) building on Jalan MH Thamrin. Then the masses moved to the Constitutional Court Building (MK) on Jalan Merdeka Barat and the peak of the action will take place at the Merdeka Palace.
