Designed Similar To Elections, The 2023 Simultaneous OSIS Chair Election In Bantul Involves KPU

The 2023 Simultaneous OSIS Chairman Election (Pemilos) at all junior high and high school levels in Bantul Regency was held this year. In the election stage for the Chairman of this OSIS, the General Election Commission (KPU) Bantul was involved.

Chairman of the Bantul KPU, Didik Joko Nugroho, said that his party had carried out socialization with the National and Political Unity Agency (Bakesbangpol) regarding the 2023 Voters starting August 8-9. A total of 130 schools consist of SMA/SMK and MA, as well as junior high schools and MTs throughout Bantul participated in this socialization activity.

"The voter in Bantul has been carried out every year since 2011, and has received national appreciation as one of the innovations in voter education by the Indonesian KPU in 2019," he said in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), Wednesday, August 9, was confiscated by Antara.

Didik explained that the voting was designed to be similar to the actual election, both from the stages and the required officers, each school would form an OSIS election committee (PPO), the voting supervisory committee, and KPPS according to the number of polling stations for each school.

"Furthermore, the voting stages will be carried out such as updating voter data, nominations, campaigns, logistical preparation, campaigns, voting, to determining the elected candidate for the OSIS chairman," he said.

In principle, he said, the implementation of the voting was simple and cheap. Simple because it is implemented in a short duration even though all the voting stages have adjusted the stages of the election, and are cheap because all the voting equipment is already in the school so that it can reduce costs.

"The implementation of the vote also applies the principles of elections such as direct, general, free, secret, honest, and fair," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Bakesbangpol Bantul Suparmadi said that this annual voter is a form of political education, especially to novice voters in Bantul.

"The Bantul Regency Government pays high attention to voter education, especially to novice voters. This is evidenced by the continuity of the implementation of voters from year to year simultaneously, both for high school and junior high school levels," he said.

According to him, the voting for voters in Bantul is planned to be held on September 4'5, 2023 for the high school level and on September 6, 2023 for the junior high school level.
