JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) reported the General Elections Commission (KPU) to the Election Organizers Honorary Council (DKPP) on Monday (7/8).

Bawaslu Commissioner Totok Hariyono said the report was related to access to the Candidate Information System (Silon) which had not been given or was still limited.

"Yes, about Silon access," said Totok as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 8.

Bawaslu's plan to report the KPU to the DKPP has been wanted to be carried out for a long time. However, Bawaslu is still conducting an in-depth study.

Meanwhile, DKPP member I Dewa Kade Wiarsa Raka Sandi confirmed the complaint submitted by Bawaslu regarding the alleged violation of the election organizer's code of ethics (KEPP) by the KPU.

"That's right, the complaint was submitted to the DKPP yesterday, Monday, August 7, 2023 afternoon at 15.30 WIB. It is still being processed," said Sandi.

The Bawaslu complaint was immediately processed by the DKPP in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. As for the initial stage, his party will first carry out administrative verification.

"The mechanism for handling complaints that go to DKPP is regulated in DKPP regulations regarding the code of conduct for the election organizers," he added.

If it meets the administrative requirements, continued Sandi, DKPP will proceed to the material verification stage.

As for this news, Bawaslu Chairman Rahmat Bagja has not provided information regarding the case that was reported to the DKPP.
