1.2 Million Husbands And Wives In Bogor Don't Have A Marriage Book Yet

BOGOR - Bogor Regency Government, West Java, revealed that there are still around 1.2 million married couples (couples) who have not been registered by the state or do not have a marriage book. "One of them is through an integrated marriage isbat program, facilitating the community to obtain a legal identity in the form of a marriage certificate. I ask that at the same time encourage the acceleration of ownership of residence documents such as KTP, KK, birth certificate and KIA," said Burhan. Head of the Office of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning Control (DP3AP2KB) Bogor Nurhayati explained, the activities of the marriage isbat trial are expected to facilitate the public to obtain valid marriage documents. "The result expected from this integrated marriage isbat activity, namely being able to facilitate an underprivileged married couple to obtain a legal marriage book, realize orderly population administration, and support the family security program," said Nurhayati.

Nurhayati added that the marriage isbat program involved the Bogor Regency Population and Civil Registry Office (Disdukcapil), the Bogor Regency Ministry of Religion Office. "So after participating in this integrated marriage isbat activity, the married couple already has a marriage book, and their child has a birth certificate and KIA," he explained.
