Often Bullyed, Students In Banjarmasin Stab Class Friends

JAKARTA - A student of one of the favorite high schools in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) stabbed his friend. This bloody incident occurred in the classroom of one of the favorite public high schools in Banjarmasin, Monday. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Banjarmasin Police, Kompol Thomas Afrian said, this stabbing was triggered by the perpetrator who is a class X student with the initials ARR (15) who is often bullied by the victim who is also his own friend, MRN (15). "The stabbing victim suffered a number of injuries to his hands and body and had to be hospitalized," Thomas said in his statement, Wednesday, August 2. Meanwhile, the perpetrator ARR immediately fled, but was successfully intercepted by the school guard and from the results of the interim interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he had attacked the victim with a sharp weapon.

"This stabbing is suspected to have been triggered because the perpetrator was hurt and held a grudge, because he was often bullied by the victim", he explained.Police have detained the perpetrator at the Banjarmasin Police Headquarters for further investigation. ARR is threatened with being charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution, while the victim is still undergoing intensive treatment at the hospital.
