Alleged Money Laundering, Bareskrim Checks Two Children Of Panji Gumilang Today

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has scheduled the examination of 8 witnesses, two of whom are the children of Panji Gumilang in the alleged Money Laundering (TPPU) case, today. They are said to be fulfilling the summons for the examination.

"The plan is to attend today," said the Director of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Wisnu Hermawan when confirmed, Friday, July 28.

The two children of Panji Gumilang had the initials IP and AP. They are the chairman and secretary of the Indonesian Islamic Boarding School Foundation (YPI) which oversees the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.

Meanwhile, the other six witnesses had the initials IS, AH, MJA, MN, MAS, and AD. They are YPI officials.

Originally, they were scheduled to provide information on Tuesday, July 25. However, the witnesses did not fulfill it.

Not only that, Bareskrim will also ask for information from two Commissioners of PT Samudra Biru Mangun Kencana (SBMK) with the initials AFA and MYR.

Previously, they were scheduled to undergo an examination on Wednesday, July 26. However, they could not attend and asked to be rescheduled today.

"The person concerned will attend and be willing to attend on Friday, July 28, 2023," said Ramadhan.

Meanwhile, Panji Gumilang's alleged involvement in the money laundering case was based on the analysis report (LHA) of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK). In fact, elements of embezzlement and corruption were found.
