There Are 8 Miners In Banyumas Trapped, Ganjar Threatens To Close Mining Without Permission

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo warned illegal mining actors operating in Central Java to immediately take care of permits.

This is related to 8 miners who have been trapped in a mine pit in Pancurendang Village, Banyumas Regency since Tuesday, July 25. Although the mine has been operating since 2014, it has not yet obtained a mining permit.

"This is a warning to everyone related to mining, please really prepare everything and prepare the permit," said Ganjar, met in Puncar Village, Temanggung Regency, Thursday, July 27.

Ganjar also immediately responded quickly to the incident by instructing his staff in the district government, city government, sub-district heads to village heads to re-register mines in their area.

If illegal mining is found, Ganjar asks to be reported immediately. So that firm action in the form of closing the mine will be taken.

"We will be told to ask for everything, how much is there, where and we expect all government officials of the village head sub-district head to report it," said Ganjar.

Previously, the Pancurendang Village mining hole experienced landslides and floods that trapped 8 miners in it. For 8 trapped miners, Ganjar said that when a search and evacuation operation was carried out from the joint SAR team.

"It has been checked. Now the operation is being carried out, hopefully there will be good results," said Ganjar.
