JAKARTA - The head of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School, Panji Gumilang, is scheduled to provide information about the alleged blasphemy at Bareskrim Polri, today. However, Panji Gumilang may not fulfill it. Panji Gumilang's attorney, Hendra Effendi, said that from the results of the coordination carried out, his client may not be able to fulfill the summons for the examination. "What is certain is that the attorney is present, Mr. Panji is not certain (present)," said Hendra when confirmed, Thursday, July 27. It's just that, there is no explanation of the reasons behind the possible absence of Panji Gumilang. Originally, Bareskrim Polri scheduled an examination of Panji Gumilang at 10.00 WIB. If the leader of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School fulfills it, then, the examination was the second time. "The PG brother has sent a summons to be present as a witness on Thursday 27 July 2023," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan. The Gumilang inspection was originally checked for the first time on July 3.
