Tomorrow, Bareskrim Will Examine 2 Commissioners Of PT SBMK Regarding Alleged Money Laundering Committee Panji Gumilang

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has scheduled an examination of two Commissioners of PT Samudra Biru Mangun Kencana (SBMK), Wednesday, July 25, tomorrow. Both will be questioned regarding the alleged Money Laundering (TPPU) involving Panji Gumilang.

"Brother AFA Commissioner, brother MYR President Commissioner of PT. Samudra Biru Mangun Kencana," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Tuesday, July 25.

However, it was not conveyed about the certainty that the two witnesses would fulfill the summons for the examination.

In investigating the allegation, the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim was also scheduled to examine 8 witnesses today.

Of the 8 witnesses, two of them are the children of Panji Gumilang with the initials IP and AP. Both are the chairmen and secretaries of the Indonesian Islamic Boarding School Foundation (YPI) which oversees the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School.

Meanwhile, the other six witnesses had the initials IS, AH, MJA, MN, MAS, and AD. They are YPI officials.

However, they are said to have failed to fulfill the summons. It is not known for sure the reason behind it.

With their absence, investigators rescheduled the inspection time on July 28.

"The invitation for clarification is on Friday, July 28, 2024," said Ramadhan.

For information, the alleged involvement of Panji Gumilang in the money laundering case was based on the analysis report (LHA) of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK). In fact, elements of embezzlement and corruption were found.
