DENPASAR - South Denpasar Police Sector, Bali Police are investigating an accident that resulted in the death of bodybuilder Justyn Vicky while exercising to lift a 210 kilogram barbell at The Paradise Gym, Denpasar, Bali.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Denpasar Police, Iptu Guruh Firmansyah, said that although the body of the body of the bodybuilder, whose real name is Herman Fausi (34), has been buried by the family, the police are still investigating to find out the cause of the death of the bodybuilder and fitness influencer from Jember.

"Regarding this bodybuilder, we have carried out an investigation, for the time being we are still at the examination stage (witness). We have examined three people for a while," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 24.

The three witnesses examined by investigators from the South Denpasar Police Criminal Investigation Unit so far come from the management and employees of The Paradise Bali Gym located on Jalan Danau Tamblingan, Denpasar.

Firmansyah has not been able to explain in detail the chronology of the incident that happened to the bodybuilder because it is still under investigation.

"I have not concluded regarding this (the chronology of the incident), later after everything will be completed, we will convey it," he said.

Previously, a video showing a bodybuilder lifting a weight of 210 kilograms circulated widely on social media because the athlete known to Justyn Vicky failed to lift the load.

In the video clip that was caught on camera by a person who is not far from the bodybuilder, Vicky can be seen lifting the load with a squat-press movement and being assisted by someone behind him.

However, not long after, Vicky was seen unable to lift the load so the barbell hit the back of his neck.

Someone who was behind him was unable to lift the burden until he finally caused a serious accident to the bodybuilder.

The victim was rushed to the hospital due to a broken neck bone and serious injury to the central nerve. A few moments after the incident Vicky reportedly died.
