Video Response To Hotman Paris Upload, Bogor Police Investigate Case Of Child Abused By Nigerian Citizen

BOGOR - Bogor Resort Police, West Java, investigated allegations of sexual abuse of a minor by a foreign national (WNA) from Nigeria.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro explained that the police had carried out a number of stages of examination of several parties to explore reports from the victim's parents.

"We are conducting an investigation, we will pursue it, and have carried out the stages of the examination," said AKBP Rio as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 21.

He made this statement in response to the video uploaded by Lawyer Hotman Paris through his Instagram account @hotmanparisofficial.

In the video, the victim's parents can be seen asking for legal assistance because their child is suspected of being a victim of a criminal act of trafficking in persons (TPPO) and sexual abuse.

"We ask for legal assistance from Mr. Hotman Paris and his team, where our underage child is a victim of TIP and sexual abuse by Nigerian foreigners," said the victim's parents in a video uploaded Friday (21/7).

"Which at the time of the incident, the foreigner took off the victim's clothes by force and forced the victim to serve, and the victim's senior brother consciously did not help, instead laughed and asked the victim to just submit to the perpetrator," he said.

As the victim's parents, he asked Hotman Paris and his team for help in getting legal assistance to get justice.

He admitted that he had reported the case to the Bogor Police, but there were still steps that the police needed to take to carry out an investigation.

"Where I reported that the Nigerian foreigner was said by the Bogor Police because he had to coordinate with the Nigerian Ambassador first, we were blind to the law and felt less served when making a report, hopefully the honorable Mr. Hotman Paris can help," explained the victim's parents.
