PENAJAM PASER- The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, questioned the certainty of the status of a case enforcer in line with the time limit for removing honorariums on November 28, 2023.
"The decision to remove honorary members of the Satpol PP is threatened with losing their jobs," explained the Board of Trustees of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the North Penajam Paser Regency Civil Service Police Assistance Communication Forum (FKBPPN), Denny Handayansyah in Penajam, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 19.
Overall Satpol PP personnel in North Penajam Regency are 248 people, 39 people are Civil Servants (PNS) and 209 people with the status of casual daily workers (THL) or honorary workers.
"We ask the government to carry out its obligations according to the law's order to appoint honorary Satpol PP as a civil servant," he said
Raising Satpol PP personnel to ASN is contained in Article 256 of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government, he added, that Civil Service Police are Civil Servants.
With this legislation, the DPD FKBPPN of North Penajam Paser Regency made a statement of attitude, namely encouraging the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to provide clarity on the mapping of non-ASN Satpol PP.
Then asked the North Penajam Paser Regency Government to facilitate special formations for civil servants or the like for honorary Satpol PP.
"We also ask the central government to raise the honorarium for Satpol PP to become ASN or the like, so we hope that there will be clarity," he said.
The duties and functions of non-PNS Satpol PP and ASN Satpol PP as Civil Service Police are the same, namely enforcing regional regulations (perda) and regional head regulations (perkada), organizing public order, and public peace.
"Non-PNS Satpol PP also has duties on mandatory government affairs or basic government services related to the implementation of order and community provisions, based on Article 3 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation Number 2 of 2018 concerning Minimum Service Standards," said Denny Handayansyah.
