NTB - The Mataram City Education Office (Disdik) reminded all principals of elementary school (SD) in Mataram not to require students to buy school uniforms in the new academic year 2023/2024.

"Schools must comply with applicable rules and maintain the conduciveness of new student admissions (PPDB) and after PPDB for the 2023/2024 academic year," said Head of the Mataram City Education Office Yusuf in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, Friday, July 14, confiscated by Antara.

This was conveyed by Yusuf following the report of an elementary school in the Ampenan area issuing an official letter regarding the purchase of school uniforms at the school.

"As soon as we received the report, and saw the evidence. We immediately gave a warning to the principal concerned," he said.

Related to that, his party asked schools to comply with the rules set out in the implementation of PPDB, including for the junior high school level.

On the other hand, Yusuf also asked for public participation in reporting when there were indications of schools buying and selling uniforms.

"Restart also has nothing to do with uniforms," he said.

While alluding to the process of implementing PPDB for the 2023/2024 school year in general, Yusuf assessed that so far it has been running smoothly.

"Now we are still holding an evaluation meeting with the supervisory team, which may have records related to PPDB, so that it becomes input next year," he said.

As for the data on the number of study groups (rombels) that students receive, data collection is still being collected.

"We can't mention the exact figure yet, because it's still in process. But a maximum of 32 students are according to national standards," he said.
