PKN To Hold National Conference Appoint Anas Urbaningrum As Chairman

JAKARTA - The Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN) will hold an extraordinary national meeting (munaslub) to determine Anas Urbaningrum as the General Chair of PKN for the term of 2023-2028.

The PKN Munaslub will be held from Friday (14/7) to Sunday (16/7) at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta.

"All party cadres who have unanimous voting rights will choose Anas Urbaningrum as the elected general chairman to replace Gede Pasek Suardika," said PKN Secretary General Sri Mulyono as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 13.

Anas Urbaningrum will replace I Gede Pasek Suardika as Chairman of PKN. Furthermore, the politician from Bali will hold the position of Chairman of the PKN Supreme Council.

"The PKN Congress was held as part of strengthening party consolidation where the general chairman and founder of the party, I Gede Pasek Suardika (GPS) will voluntarily transfer his position to Anas Urbaningrum (AU) who has a pure free status," he said.

According to him, this effort is a step in the struggle of two friends, namely I Gede Pasek Suardika and Anas Urbaningrum in fighting criminalization. Not only that, there has been also a political deadly attempt by the old power of Anas Urbaningrum.

Sri Mulyono assessed that this aspiration is also a collective aspiration within PKN as part of the third stage strategy for the 2024 General Election which was previously launched.

To note, there have been three stages of PKN travel since its establishment. The first Etape, passed the decree from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Anas Urbaningrum and I Gede Pasek Suardika will later share roles according to their position as party administrators. This is also a form of political friendship and togetherness contained in the slogan Mitreka Satata or united in friendship.

This slogan contains the concept of a party struggle that is different from existing political parties so far. In addition, this concept is also to accelerate the acceleration of party development towards the peak of performance on February 14, 2024.

Nevertheless, continued Sri Mulyono, the failure of the PKN management to prioritize friendship and brotherhood is not a struggle for power.

"The PKN Congress is held in a simple but meaningful manner. The arrangements are mutual cooperation and deliberation of consensus which are characteristic of the archipelago," concluded Sri Mulyono.
