JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Housing and Settlement Service has prepared the Nagrak Flats (Rusun) to accommodate residents of Kampung Bayam, North Jakarta, whose location is the fault of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) project.

"We have prepared it at the Nagrak Flat. Please residents (Kampung Bayam) who want to move," said Acting Head (Plt) of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Office, Retno Sulistiyaningrum, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 11.

Retno said the decision to move to Rusunawa Nagrak was submitted according to the wishes of the residents of Kampung Susun Bayam.

However, Retno could not explain when the residents of Kampung Bayam could start occupying the flats that had been prepared.

"It's up to when. Anyway, the unit is ready, it's just a matter of when the residents want it, we have facilitated this," said Retno.

Retno hopes that residents who are still surviving want to stay in Kampung Susun Bayam can switch to Rusun Nagrak.

"Yes, we have to (want) this. We have Nagrak. Yes, don't refuse," he continued.

Previously, the North Jakarta Red and White DPC revealed that hundreds of families were still affected by the construction of JIS.

"The number of those who still live in that location is around 300 families (KK) or approximately 600 people," said North Jakarta Secretary of the DPC Taruna Merah Putih (TMP) Niko Atmaja in a statement in Jakarta, Tuesday.

He explained that the affected residents lived in Kampung Bayam near Lake Ring and they had been isolated because there was no way in and out.

"Building a guardrail which eventually cut off the access road for the community, even though the relocation of residents around the area has not yet been completed," he emphasized.
