Mi Allegedly Caused By Residents Of West Lombok Toxics Checked At The Bali Police Lab

The Mataram Police asked for support from the Bali Police Forensic Laboratory to check the samples of noodles in packaged rice which allegedly caused dozens of residents in Sempage Lebah Village, West Lombok Regency, to be poisoned.

"Yes, because there is one item, namely noodles that cannot be done by BPOM here. We sent it to the Bali Police Forensic Laboratory for inspection," said Head of the Mataram Police Criminal Investigation Unit Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Wednesday, July 5, confiscated by Antara.

He said, from the results of the field findings, it was revealed that the noodles did not have a brand. Some of them have become side dishes for packaged rice, and some have not.

Therefore, Yogi assured that his party would ask for information from the maker of the packaged rice product which is domiciled in Central Lombok Regency.

"We invite food makers and also those who take them from Central Lombok to the event location. The goal is to find out if the food is hygienic when made or when delivering," he said.

Likewise for the Narmada Health Center officers who provided initial handling to the victims.

"Who was in charge of handling the victim at that time. We want to see how the diagnosis of the victims was," he said.

For victims, Yogi assured that all of them had been questioned. Meanwhile, the organizing committee for the activity, some have been questioned by the police.

Then regarding the testing of the packaged rice sample by BPOM, Yogi assured that his party was still waiting for the results.

The poisoning incident was first revealed from the Narmada Police report, Sunday, June 4. The results of the initial treatment, the Narmada Police noted that dozens of residents were poisoned and had to be rushed to the hospital.

In medical information, the victims, some of whom were students, experienced heart pain, vomiting, heartburn and weakness. This was felt after eating rice packets from the counseling committee from the Faculty Student Association, Qhamarul Huda Bagu University (Uniqhba).

Regarding the origin of the packaged rice, the committee ordered a rice wrap entrepreneur who lives in the Bagu area, Central Lombok Regency.
