DKI Provincial Government Investigate Reasons For Central Jakarta SDA Cleaning Housing Distribution In Bekasi Outside Working Hours

SumJAKARTA - Head of the Water Resources Service (SDA) Yusmada Faizal said he would examine the blue troops of the Central Jakarta Natural Resources (Jakpus) Sub-dept. who clean the housing waterways in the Bekasi area, West Java (West Java).

Although the activity was carried out outside of working hours, Yusmada admitted that he still wanted to find out why his subordinates were cleaning in Bekasi.

"Now we have to find information on why he (the blue team) was there. Yes, according to the information, he was there outside of working hours. But, yes, we will continue to check first," said Yusmada at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, July 3.

Yusmada emphasized that other individual service providers (PJLP) such as blue troops have certain rights and obligations as long as they are still working under the management of the DKI Provincial Government. Supposedly, PJLP and commitment-making officials (PPK) as their superiors must fulfill their contractual principles.

"Yes, in the contract there is a working area of him, there are working hours. Now he is there (cleaning the ditch in Bekasi), that's not appropriate," he said.

Previously, a photo circulated of a number of blue troops still wearing uniforms from the Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept., complete with hats and boots cleaning waterways in a residential area.

In the photo, the cleaning of this channel will be carried out on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Jatiranggon Village, Jatisampurna District, Bekasi City, West Java.

Head of Central Jakarta SDA Sub-dept. Mustajab admitted that he was the one deploying the blue troop. Mustajab also apologized for his actions. He realized that his actions brought his subordinates to help clean the waterways in the buffer zone could cause negative sentiment.

"Yes, that's our negligence. As a civil servant, I apologize to everyone for this negligence," said Mustajab.

Mustajab explained that initially he was asked to help by the head of the RT in the Bekasi housing area to help clean the waterways because the area was often flooded.

Mustajab then granted the wishes of the head of the RT by bringing a number of blue troops who served at the Central Jakarta SDA Sub-dept.

However, Mustajab emphasized that the cleaning of these waterways was carried out by his staff on holidays. So, this does not interfere with their work in Jakarta. However, the officers were still wearing their uniforms while helping clean the ditch.

"We admit that because he (the blue troop) is every overseas, even resting, wearing a blue uniform," said Mustajab.
