Bareskrim Call Panji Gumilang Next Week

Investigators from the Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police have scheduled a summons to the caretaker of the Al Zaytun Panji Gumilang Islamic Boarding School for clarification on the police report related to the alleged blasphemy on Monday (3/7) next week.

"Al Zaytun's update is likely to be called on Monday for clarification," said Head of the Criminal and Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim) Komjen Agus Andrianto as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 30/

Agus said that the Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police would conduct a case title if Panji Gumilang was not present when asked for clarification.

"It is possible that if they are not present, the Dirtipidum will conduct a case title," he said.

The title of this case, continued Agus, is to determine whether the case can be escalated to the investigation stage to determine the suspect.

"Hopefully, from the results of the case title, whether the case can be investigated or not, hopefully it will be determined on Tuesday (4/7)," said Agus.

Bareskrim Polri received two police reports related to alleged blasphemy by the caretaker of the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School, which was filed by the Central Leadership Council of the Pancasila Defenders Advocate Forum (DPP FAPP) against Panji Gumilang, on Friday (23/6), and Ken Setiawan NICC Center, Tuesday (27/6).

Previously reported, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD on Saturday (24/6), held a limited meeting with the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil and said that there would be three legal steps taken by the government in handling polemics of Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School activities.

The three legal steps, said Mahfud, are criminal, administrative and orderly social and security.
