SMP Negeri 2 Pringsurat Temanggung Burned By Students Themselves Using Modified Fuel, The Motive Is Not Known

TemanGGung - Temanggung Resort Police, Central Java, arrested a student with the initials (R) who allegedly set fire to SMP Negeri 2 Pringsurat, Tuesday, June 27 in the morning at around 02.00 WIB. "In addition to arresting the alleged perpetrator, we immediately matched the information or pre-reconstruction with the alleged perpetrator," said Temanggung Police Chief AKBP Agus Puryadi in Temanggung, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, June 27. Several demonstrations were carried out by R, starting from entering the school environment to burning a number of points in the school building. According to Agus, this pre-reconstruction aims to provide an overview of the occurrence of a criminal act by demonstrating again. In addition, it can be used to test the suitability of the testimony of witnesses or suspects. "We received a report on the school fire in the pre-work room at around 03.30 WIB by the school guard. After we conducted an investigation referring to CCTV data and data from the school, the word was arrested by a perpetrator who was still a child and he is a student from this junior high school," he said. During the pre-reconstruction, the suspect demonstrated that when he entered the school area, he burned four points of the school building, namely in the back building, banner, green house room, and pre-work storage space and the fire went wide into the side rooms, namely the 9B and 9C classes. "From the incident, it has been traced to the CCTV facts as well as information from the suspect and the evidence left in the form of broken bottles of a drink," he said. He conveyed that R set fire to the school building using a modified health bottle with flammable materials. "He used a type of fuel liquid and was mixed with certain gases, then put it in a bottle and given a cloth axis. After that he was ignited with fire," he said. Until now, the police are still conducting further investigations regarding the motives of the suspect who was desperate to burn down his school building. Head of SMP Negeri 2 Pringsurat Bejo Pranoto said the incident occurred at around 02.00 WIB and the fire was extinguished at around 03.00 WIB.

He mentioned that as a result of the incident, the fire scorched several classrooms, namely the roof of the 9C and 9B classes and one pre-employment shelter was engulfed in flames.
