The world university rating agency, Times Higher Education (THE), has just announced that the University of Indonesia (UI) has again won the best university in Indonesia.

THE Asia University Rankings 2023 uses the same 13 performance indicators as THE World University Rankings, but it is still adjusted to reflect the attributes of institutions in Asia. The five main indicators seen in this ranking are Teaching, Research, Citations, International Outlook, and Industry Income.

This year is the 11th edition of the implementation of THE Asia University Rankings. The number of participants increased when compared to last year, namely 616 universities. A total of 33 countries participated in this event with the most universities from Japan (117), China (95), India (75), Iran (65), and Turkey (61).

Of the total 669 universities that participated in this ranking, the five best universities according to The Asia University Rankings 2023 were occupied by Tsinghua University, Peking University, National University of Singapore, University of Hong Kong, and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
