Prabowo: Maintenance Of The Most Important Big Country Of Peace And Harmony

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto invites the younger generation to optimize Indonesia's demographic bonuses that only come once for 13 years.

"We are facing the so-called demographic bonus, most of the people are at a productive age. This only comes once, only lasts 13 years," said Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto at the commemoration of the 63rd Birthday of the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) at the Vastenburg Fort Solo reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 23.

The Minister of Defense said that young people need to be able to make the country prosperous. Thus, Indonesia does not continue to be a medium country.

"That way, all wealth can be processed domestically called downstreaming. This is the basis for the revival of the Indonesian nation," said Prabowo.

Prabowo also asked young people not to hate foreign nations. However, young people must remain vigilant.

"If we can't protect our wealth, don't blame other people. That's our own fault," he said.

He said that currently Indonesia is in the spotlight of the world and a role model for various countries.

"I just came from abroad, I met many figures. They are amazed by Indonesia's achievements. Sometimes we ourselves are not proud of our achievements, many developing countries look at us, want our examples," he said.

One of the things that other countries admire, Prabowo said, is how the fourth largest population in the world can maintain integrity and unity.

"Maintaining such a large country, a region as big as Europe consisting of 27 countries. We are one country. We can keep the nation intact, the most important thing is in a peaceful, harmonious, and cool state," he said.

This achievement, he continued, was not a small achievement and was easy to realize. Moreover, Indonesia has also just come out of a very big world crisis, namely the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This has stopped the world's economic life. Thank God, Indonesia under President Jokowi's leadership has succeeded in overcoming the crisis. Successfully saving and ensuring the health of the Indonesian people. It does not mean that we can be careless, we can quickly feel satisfied," he said.

Prabowo hopes that students can become the hope of the nation's future.

"It takes a young generation of students who are brave, innovative, diligent, and disciplined. They want to learn and master science and technology. Only a figure from you will emerge who will bring Indonesia to prosperity," he said.
