JAKARTA - Tim Amirul Hajj asked Indonesian pilgrims not to underestimate cough and runny nose. It is recommended that if there are symptoms, immediately check yourself at a health clinic.

This was conveyed by a member of Amirul Hajj Alissa Qotrunnada Munawaroh Wahid while reviewing the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Friday, June 23.

"Hajj pilgrims are careful with cough and runny nose, don't take it lightly and just accept it. It's better to go to the clinic in each group. There is a health center, immediately go there asking for medicine," he said, quoted by Antara.

In addition, said Alissa, pilgrims who suffer from a cough and runny nose disease should wear masks so as not to transmit disease to other congregations.

"Second, immediately wear a mask so as not to infect others. Third, get enough rest," he said.

The eldest daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur also invited pilgrims to focus on harmony and pilgrimage.

"Don't overdo it because we maximize this again in the Holy Land, don't be like that. The interest is to complete the pillars of the hajj and to complete the pilgrimage so that we stay healthy," he said.

During his visit to KKHI, according to Alissa, Tim Amirul Hajj admitted that he was happy and appreciated that health services were going well.

"We have seen several facilities, met patients. We are happy and appreciate the clinic going well and the most fun thing is that there are many empty ones. If there are empty beds, it means they are not needed. This means that the health of the congregation is quite good," he said.

Alissa also emphasized the importance of prevention and mitigation efforts, because this year some of the elderly (elderly) are of course at high risk (crysties) for health problems.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Health Workers at the Ministry of Health, Arianti Anaya, welcomed the arrival of Team Amirul Hajj to KKHI Makkah.

"I would like to thank the entire Amirul Hajj Team. This visit gave encouragement to us as health workers who were assigned to guard the pilgrims," he said.

Arianti admitted that there were several problems faced by health services because this year the number of pilgrims is quite large with an age that is not limited, plus the weather is hot up to 40 degrees Celsius.

"The problem we are dealing with is that the elderly are quite high, there are no companions. This makes it difficult for us to communicate. They also don't know what the cure is, what is the basis for the disease. This is also what causes quite high cases of death from pilgrims," said Arianti.

Arianti said that many pilgrims were infected with the Inspection of the Acute Respiratory Channel (ARI) and could be resolved at health clinics in the cluster.

"We see that many of the sick pilgrims are ARI. Usually they can be resolved in the group. Usually those in KKHI have usually entered pneumonia. We also have 300 patients in RSAS who generally suffer from heart disease," he said.

Regarding the availability of medicines at KKHI in Makkah, Arianti admitted that there were several drugs that ran out and did not expect the cases to be quite large, especially coughing, cold, and dementia.

Not only medicines, his party has also prepared cardiac and lung specialists to serve pilgrims and hopes that in the future the pilgrims who are departing will meet the requirements.

"This is our joint evaluation in the future to be able to dispatch pilgrims who have met the requirements, because we met the congregation who had just arrived and was sick," he said.
