Ticket Prices At Kampung Rambutan Terminal Rise Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha

The ticket price for long-distance destinations at Kampung Rambutan Terminal has increased by around Rp. 50,000 to Rp. 100,000 per person ahead of Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri.

One of the Otobus Company (PO) officers, Arifatul, said the increase in ticket prices had started since last week for several purposes. One of them is Madura, East Java

"Of course there is an increase in ticket prices, from Rp. 50,000 to Rp. 100,000," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 23.

In addition, the increase in the number of passengers has also begun to be felt based on the full bus seats.

"The increase in passengers may be around 70 percent before Eid when compared to the usual day," said Arifatul.

Head of Kampung Rambutan Terminal Yulza Ramadhoni added that the increase had an impact on the Madurayang route, which is now the largest choice for passengers.

"Towards Eid al-Adha 2023, there is indeed an increase in ticket bookings, especially to Merak and Madura. There is an increase in the range of variation between PO one and another, namely 30-50 percent of 'online' ticket bookings," he said.

To serve this ticket booking for Inter-City Inter-Provincial PO (AKAP) which serves its destination to Madura, his party opens online purchase services so that passengers do not need to come to the terminal.

After making online ticket payments, passengers simply come to Kampung Rambutan Terminal according to the schedule for the departure of the bus fleet from each PO.

"For the increase in ticket prices, we just checked that there was an increase, the range was Rp. 20,000 to Rp. 50,000 for majoring in Madura," he said.

Despite the surge in departure ticket bookings, Yulza estimates that during the Eid al-Adha holiday the surge in passengers to Madura is not too significant.

This is because the number of AKAP POs at Kampung Rambutan Terminal which serves Madura's destination is less, so passengers switch to other terminals.
