The House of Representatives Supervisory Team assessed that the implementation of the Hajj pilgrimage in 1444 Hijri and services for Indonesian pilgrims were good and showed quite thorough preparation.

"Together with the Indonesian House of Representativeswas Team, we carried out direct supervision at Medina Airport regarding the arrival of additional quota pilgrims. We saw that the services carried out by the Hajj officers were quite good," said Chairman of Commission VIII as well as Chairman of the House of Representatives Hajj Supervisory Team Ashabul Kahfi at Amir Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport (AMAA), Medina reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 21.

The team was directly monitoring the services of officers when welcoming the arrival of the flying group pilgrims (kloter) SOC 97 Embarkation Solo with 276 Hajj participants and four officers landed at AMAA International Airport at 10.40 Saudi Arabian Time (WAS).

Kahfi said the movement of pilgrims from getting off the plane and then resting at the Keong Pavilion went smoothly, as well as the movement of pilgrims to the bus was quite smooth and short.

"The presence of pilgrims at the Pavilion is not too long and can immediately be pushed by bus to the hotel," he said.

According to him, transportation services for Indonesian pilgrims are very good and specifically, Kahfi also saw firsthand the buses used to carry Indonesian pilgrims.

"I got on the bus earlier and the bus conditions were very good, so the pilgrims could feel comfortable," he said.

In addition, his party also highlighted the health services at the Madinah Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) and admitted that the facilities at KKHI were quite optimal.

"Yesterday we also monitored KKHI. The facilities there are maximal," he added.

Regarding the additional quota, the DPRwas asked the government to go directly to Jeddah, because through Medina, pilgrims still had to travel about six hours to Mecca and this condition was very burdensome.

"In the future, it is hoped that this additional quota can be flown directly to Jeddah, not to Medina because there is an additional six hours of travel from Medina to Mecca," he said.

Moreover, according to him, the pilgrims must return to Medina to carry out Arbain (fardlu prayers in 40 times) after carrying out the pilgrimage peak.

"Therefore, we ask the government to hold talks with the Government of Saudi Arabia regarding flights for this additional quota," said Ashabul Kahfi.
