7 Corruption Defendants At The West Pasaman Hospital Sentenced To 2-4 Years In Prison

Seven defendants in the corruption case for the construction of the West Pasaman Hospital for the 2018-2020 fiscal year were sentenced to prison between 2 years and 4 years in prison by the panel of judges at the Corruption Crime District Court in Padang City.

"The seven defendants have been sentenced to prison at the trial for reading the verdict which lasted until Tuesday (20/6) night," said West Pasaman District Attorney Muhammad Yusuf Putra at Simpang Empat as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 21.

The verdicts for the seven defendants were each determinant who won the tender initials Ali Munar with evidenced article 5 with imprisonment for 4 years, a fine of Rp. 200 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison and compensation of Rp. 3,607,000,000 and subsidiary to 6 months in prison.

Then the four defendants of the Halongan S working group committee with 3 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 150 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison and a replacement money of Rp. 500 million and a subsidiary of 6 months in prison.

Defendant Ledi A with 3 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 150 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison and compensation of Rp. 100 million, subsidiary to 4 months in prison.

Tona Amanda with 3 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 150 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison and compensation of Rp. 75 million, subsidiary to 4 months in prison.

Meanwhile, the defendant Yan Eldi was sentenced to 3 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 150 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison and a replacement money of Rp. 75 million, a subsidiary of 4 months in prison.

Then the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Novri Indra with 2 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 100 million and a subsidiary of 3 months in prison.

Construction Management M Yusuf with a prison sentence of two years and six months, a fine of Rp. 100 million, a subsidiary of 3 months in prison and compensation of Rp. 85 million and a subsidiary of 4 months in prison.

"Against the decision, we will take an appeal because of the differences in the indictment of proven articles, differences in the value of state financial losses, differences in the length of the prison term, the amount of fines and additional penalties for replacement money and differences related to evidence," said Kajari.

The case began when the West Pasaman Regency Government budgeted for the construction of the West Pasaman Hospital from special allocation funds and general allocation funds with a budget ceiling of Rp. 136,119,063,000.

In the budget plan, there was a deliberate error in the recapitulation of approximately Rp5,962,588,749. Then in the auction process there was an auction arrangement by the working group team (Pokja) with other suspects with a multi-year contract of Rp134,859,961,000.

Then the Director of PT MAM Energindo AA (suspect) transferred all work (Subkon) with the knowledge of the PPK who was also the director of the RSUD at that time to other parties from Manado.

In implementation, there was a shortage of work volume which resulted in state losses of Rp. 16,239,364,605,46.
