BPN Waits For The Determination Of The Padang-Pekanbaru Toll Road Development Location

PADANG - The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) stated that they are still waiting for the determination of the location issued by the local government regarding the construction of the 254 kilometer Padang-Pekanbaru Toll Road.

"Say the Sicincin-Bukittinggi Section, the Ministry of ATR/BPN will wait for the determination of the location from the local government," said ATR/BPN Minister Hadi Tjahjanto in Padang as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.

This was conveyed by Minister Hadi Tjahjanto regarding the continuation of the Padang-Pekanbaru Toll Road, which is still in process.

Minister Hadi said the determination of the location issued by the regional government would also receive a letter from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

Hadi believes that through synergy between local governments and related ministries and institutions, including the support of the DPR RI, especially the commission in charge, the continuation of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road can be completed as soon as possible.

He emphasized that if there was already a location determination, the ministry he led would immediately carry out land acquisition.

Specifically for the Padang-Sicincin Section, the determination of the locations of one and two has been completed. However, currently the determination of the location of the toll exit or exit of the toll road has not been completed or is still in the process stage.

"Now there is only one location, namely the exit toll road located in the Lubuk Alung area," he said.

In general, there are 1,622 plots of land for the Padang-Sicincin Section, of which 1,541 have been successfully completed by the West Sumatra BPN.

Then, for 81 areas of land that have not been completed, the local government continues to strive to complete it so that the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, which is a National Strategic Project (PSN), is completed according to the set target.
