Mayor Of Medan Ensures MSME Packaging Houses Built This Year

Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution said that the packaged houses intended for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan City will be built this year.

"God willing, this year we (the Medan City Government) will build a packaged house. This departs from the aspirations of MSME friends," Bobby said when receiving a group of Committee II DPD reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 19.

However, he also said, in the midst of this preparation, the Medan City Government has also prepared other technical matters so that everything runs smoothly.

This step is part of a number of efforts by the Medan City Government to support the empowerment and development of MSME actors in Medan City to further develop and advance to class.

Bobby Nasution revealed that the Medan City Government has also helped business actors register Intellectual Property Rights (Haki) for free.

"We understand the things that business actors need to protect them and their products. Maybe not today, but later after their products are known and famous," he said.

The mayor also revealed that of the five priority programs set by the Medan City Government, one of them is the arrangement of heritage areas in line with empowering MSME actors.

"Yes, so it's not just physical development that we do, but also to revive the Medan City economy through the role of MSMEs," said Bobby.

Deputy Chairman III of Committee II of the DPD Lukky Semen as the leader of the group revealed that his party and his entourage were present to supervise Law no. 31/2000 concerning Industrial Design.

The capital city of North Sumatra Province was chosen because it saw the progress of the MSME sector in Medan City during the leadership of Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution.

"In addition, we are currently compiling views and opinions regarding the Industrial Design Bill from the local government. Through the supervision we are doing, of course it will be an input for us," he said.
