Traffic Directorate Personnel Of Polda Metro Jaya Asah Capability Of Motorized Scarcity Competition

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya held a Motorized Scarcity Competition as an effort to hone personnel's skills in escorting and patrols. This competition was attended by 48 participants from the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.

In a written statement received in Jakarta, the Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Latif Usman, revealed that the expertise of driving a motorized vehicle, especially motorcycles, is important for members in the field who are in charge of escort and patrols.

"Every member in the field must have expertise or expertise in driving a motorized vehicle, especially two-wheeled vehicles. Motorcycles require expertise that must be possessed by personnel in the field, especially in terms of escort and patrols," said Latif.

The purpose of this activity is to hone the capabilities of the personnel in carrying out their duties and provide a sense of security to the community.

"So that we can really provide a sense of security to the community with the activities we carry out and also the capabilities of personnel we can apply," he added.

The Motorized Scarcity Competition is one of a series of events in commemoration of Bhayangkara's 77th Anniversary which will be held on July 1, 2023.

Latif explained that this competition was attended by 48 participants from the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya, which was divided into two categories, namely a 600 cc big motorbike with 26 participants, and a trail motorbike with 22 participants.

The assessment in this competition uses a time count system. Participants will be measured for their time from "start" to "finish," as well as their ability to overcome obstacles in the race track.

"The judges involved in this competition consist of 25 people who are professionals and former champions who have experience in similar activities in various places. They are also assisted by members who have experience who are not inferior," said Latif.

The winners of the competition will get trophies, awards, and coaching money. The first place winner will receive a prize of Rp. 10 million, the second place winner is Rp. 7.5 million, and the third place is Rp. 5 million for each category.
